AUG 07/2009 Recap - GBPUSD / EURJPY + Complications
ShaneD

Todays video we are going to wrap up August 7 and tally up the results for the week AND the overall results.  I have to say, they are pretty impressive.

The video also covers an important topic about "complications".  These videos are showing that "as is", the system performs quite well.  An overall win rate that by any standard is quite excellent.  What I have noticed, especially via emails, is that traders want to complicate matters.  They want to add in higher time frames, pivots, other indicators and trying to cover too many pairs.  Netpicks offers a complete strategy for traders.  While there may be some basis in looking at higher time frame trend, ranges or other price action, add that ONLY when you have given the out of the box system an honest chance.  I know one UMT trader that will look at the 15 minute time frame for ranging action and if a setup occurs on his trading charts in the breakout zone...that gives him an "edge" in deciding if to go to target or this trade is a candidate for a trail.  He has also been trading the UMT for a long time before adding this in.

What is also coming across is even adding all the "extras", these traders are still not consistently profitable.  These recent videos are showing that even trading our scaled down trade plan, consistent profits and an every increasing equity curve is the outcome.  Heck, even the cable that is smacking us around in the London session is still only down 19 pips (London session) in 3 weeks of trading.  Could trading up to perhaps the 200/233 fix that?  Maybe...we just havent gotten there yet.

Bottom line.....you give someone one watch, they can tell you the exact time.  Give them another watch and the confusion for the time sets in.  See the analogy?  Dedicate yourself to wearing one watch for the next 3-6 months or the next "x" amount of trades.
