A Look at This Trader's Way of 'Digging the Ditches' in Preparation of Creating a Foundation for a Tradeplan
Troy
I realize that many of you UMTers have invested in the new HVMM while others are still trying to decide. Others still are perfectly content with the various UMTs and that is perfectly fine. UMT still rocks! I call a live trade room and am wanting to bring in the ne HVMM system as one of my strategies I use. Amazingly, there are SO many good options and the HVMM is working excellent on many different markets. How to decide then? These two videos walk you through my thought process as I backtest the US (30 yr TBond) market with two different timeframes. I discuss what I'm thinking, what I feel uncomfortable with, and the 'trader' adjustments I feel are necessary to make this system work with these two timeframes. I use a slightly different reentry target method and so far so good. The results were excellent. On the 55 tick for example, I plotted 6 reentry trades and hit all 6 full targets with no losses.
The jury is not back yet on these two markets but this video demonstrates the type of preliminary labor that is necessary if you want to establish a winning approach to your market and timeframe. We already know that this market is great with UMT. My hunch is playing itself out and it appears to me that the 30 Tbond futures market is an excellent choice for the HVMM as well. Whether you are interested in HVMM or not doesn't matter in regards to the point of these videos. This is the type of ditch digging you need to do and there is no way around it.p>
